How to configure your contact forms to send emails
Are your contact forms not working as expected? In this section, we’ll walk you through how to set up your SMTP and get your contact forms working properly.
The first step is to check if you have a plugin called something like SMTP, or look under ”Settings” or ”Tools” in your WordPress menu. The location may vary depending on the theme you are using. I use the Astra theme with a plugin called Easy SMTP, and in the image, you can see the settings I use to send emails via contact forms on wpassistans.se. You can get your specific settings from your web hosting provider. The last two fields in the image are the login credentials you use to access your email. You need to enter these correctly for it to work.

This is essential for your website to be able to send emails from your contact forms. If your forms previously worked but have suddenly stopped, it could be due to changes in your settings, your web hosting provider’s settings, or your email settings. For example, if you change the password for your email account, you also need to update it in your SMTP settings. Otherwise, the form won’t be able to log in to your email to send messages.
Once you’ve entered all your values correctly and clicked save, you’re done! Your contact forms can now send emails from your website. Congratulations, you did it!
